doing a whole lot of nothing while lucien napped. I got some books and that today to hopefully help me get him to be sleeping better etc.. I know it’ll be hard work and something that we have to fix ourselves, but at least the books will give us a starting point and keep us on track so we don’t get too fustrated as well as offer other solutions when one thing doesn’t work.
my mom has shoulder surgery tomorrow. i’m not too keen on it, but it has to be done. she has a bone spur they’re removing. she’s staying overnight at my neighbours.

came home, put squeaks down for a nap and then worked on some Mill of Kintail photos. Ya’ll can find them on my flickr stream. For those who are on F&F you can see more pics from the past few days of festivities.
I’ve got people over, I’ve seen them for maybe an hour of the time they’ve been her, since oh 6ish.. It’s now 11. Lucien’s been an absolute beast to everyone; hitting, screaming, stealing toys from Oscar.. so whatever I’m not dealing with that so we’ve been up in the nursery since about 730 watching Fraggle Rock and just relaxing. He’s reading a book at the moment.
People will be heading out soon I think which means bedtime for all of us. Poor Dutchess has been in the den barking and whining for 5 hours. Why i have no idea, normally she just goes to sleep, but hearing her through the vent, missing out on stuff and Lucien being Satan Spawn has put me in a rather meh mood.

Thursday brought mine and Kev’s bestest buddy Marc back to Canada for a 6 week visit. He’s been gone for 2 years in Taiwan and it feels like it’s only been 2 weeks. Friday I spent with Adrienne and Michel having lunch and then some shopping at Costco. Yesterday I spent most of it with Princess Droolie doing some crafty stuff, chatting etc. I got most of my scrapbooking stuff organized, found more today that needs to be put away. I have to get my desk for upstairs, but first I have to again DECLUTTER the guest room as it’s become the crapcatcher the past couple of days with cleaning house for company being over. Today K’s brother Doug and fiancee Ruby came for a visit, then we had lunch, rushed to finish cleaning up and then Marc, his mum, his gf Christina and her son Oscar came over for a visit. Us ladies played defense for the boys to try out the racing chair and our brand spanking supersexalicious copy of GT5 Prologue. Mominator, gf and son went back home, while Marc stayed for a bit, had dinner with us and watched a bit of Planet Earth and some Mitchel and Webb.
Tomorrow L&I are going swimming at the wave pool with Princess Droolie, grocery shopping and then home to finish cleaning/get cooking for all the people who are descending on my house for supper. We’re having Marc, Mominator, Pat, Carrie, Michel, Adrienne, Christina and Oscar over for dinner. We’re having Caribbean eats. Jerk Chicken, rice with peas, coleslaw, plaintains etc. num num I cannot wait :)
I have a bunch of photos too to show that I haven’t had a chance to work on at all. Pics from mine and Juli’s outing to Mill of Kintail, lots of pictures of Lucien and friends from the past week. Not to mention all my 365’s. Expect a large picture post soon i guess :)

the test went really well and quit fast. when i got there i had to check in and give the guy all my paperwork and ID and then they called me up for the interview. When i went for the interview I had to leave my booklet in a bin, answered some questions about if i was working, still married, any kids, she asked me a few basic questions in french which i was able to answer without looking like too much of a boob, and then i had to sign my notice to appear, she stapled it to the answer sheet and then sent me into the room to wait for everyone else to be finished. the test only too about 10 minutes top. it started at 1042 and i was in my car leaving the lot by 1055. I can call in 2 weeks to find out if I passed or not (i’m going to say yes i did) and I should get my ceremony letter in 1-3 months from yesterday. I’m hoping that my ceremony is with my friend Sue, she takes her test next Thursday!

i was fine when i got up, now i’m getting kinda squirrely.
i want to eat something but i don’t want to jinx my guts.. gonna be leaving here in about half an hour so I have plenty of time to get down there, part, check in, settle myself, read a bit..
