The RimRoller

Designed and manufactured here in Ottawa I’ve seen several of these in the past few days. For those who drink a lot of coffee that has a yearly game that lasts months this is a God send because ANYONE who has ever rolled the rim of a coffee cup knows that it can be a bit of a struggle.

You can also hear Dutchess grumbling in the background because L was making too much noise. I’m sure she’d be quite happy for the jumper to go far far away.

All of this has to be done by 630 because I’m meeting Sandi for dancing at Barrymore’s again tonight. Tomorrow is gonna suck for energy levels. I have work which I’m staying late to train on drive through (weee), then I get to come home and finish whatever cleaning is left over. Then I get a shower hopefully and get to go get my mom from the train station.

I really want to go through and edit categories; I have so many entries that generally belong to more than one but due to the limitations of pMachine I had to choose just one. The thought of editing at least back to the blogger entries are daunting. Maybe I should just start from here on out. I will have to think about it.

Yesterday afternoon/evening/night (no idea when he came to bed, I was in nyquil land!) saw K creating, plugging in, porting, assorting, designing, tweaking and generally being a good nerd to his wife. DIR is now running on WordPress with all sorts of sexy features.

Bringing Sexy back so far are:

• the Archives date slider bar doodad. If you click the “Older” link at the top left of the entries, you will see 2 sliders. the larger slider allows you to gracefully slide back through time to older entries. The shorter slider allows you to condense or expand the text so you can see what each entry contains.
• Photo page. MY GOD it’s never been easier. One of my complaints was the amount of updating and maintaining I found I was doing across the Interwebs. This combines 2 of my sites into one! My Flickr is now on my blog! Easy as pie! Shows notes & comments! AND AND AND it allows my registered/level appropriate users to see my private Flickr photos without them having to sign into Flickr!
• Neat and tidy archives. One of my biggest bleh moments with wordpress were the big archives list sprawling their way down the side of one’s page. Nice little archives page and a compact calendar make my heart ping!
• All my additional pages are in WP too.. not sure how that works, I’ll get him to tell me later.
• MORE CATEGORIES! Better organization! WEEEEEE!
• All my Blogger entries have been imported into WordPress along with my pMachine entries. K’s currently working on importing all my photo blog entries as well, so that everything will be nice and neat in one place!
• I’m sure there is more.. but that’s all I can think of for now!

Now, for you dear readers this is where you have to pay attention. Along with my entries, Kev has imported my user registrations. MOST of you that read my website are registered users and your login information HAS REMAINED THE SAME! In regards to private entries, you must be registered and you must be logged in to EVEN KNOW THE ENTRY EXISTS. If you’re not logged in and there is a private entry, you won’t see it any way shape or form. If you miss things it’s YOUR fault, not mine. If you need help remembering your name and password etc, just let me know.

Ok I think that’s it for now. I have more to write about. Work, scrapbooking and all that good stuff.. but for now, I need to go look some stuff up.
