it seems my entire life i’ve had something that revolves around poo.
- in my childhood, it was always cleaning hamster poo out of the cage
- in my teens it was shoveling horse poo
- in my late teens early 20’s it was shoveling hamster poo for a living
- in my mid 20’s i had a break, but then had to deal with my own poo issues
- in my late 20’s i have to shovel winter’s dog poo in bulk into plastic bags so that my yard doesn’t smell like my neighbours did last spring. no one wants to be those guys
- and now, in my extra late 20’s i’ll be up to my tits in baby poo.
i seriously cannot win here people!

I’m about 98% sure I’ve started feeling the baby move. I would say 2-3x a day since about Monday I feel a slight pressure like someone is pushing on me from the inside out with their fingers. It lasts about 5-10 seconds, then will move to a different spot a few inches away. There has been a bit of a bubbly feeling too during this time. I can’t wait till we can start to feel them by placing our hand on my belly.
I have a wee little baby belly happening. I think I’ve got another few weeks in my current pantwear and then I’ll have to move into maternity clothing. I’m hoping I can hold out till I head to my parents on the 12th and hit up Old Navy there as well as a few more specialty shops.

I made an audio visual show of Dutchess today for the photo club. It’s very snapshot feeling but fun. I made it with the software Pictures to EXE. You can download the zip file containing the slideshow here. The format is EXE and is a clean file. However if you are distrusting of such things, don’t download and/or scan it before executing it. I can’t be arsed to fiddle with Premiere right now, so don’t complain to me about the exe format.

not a lot of energy to do it with.
We went to Duhamel, Quebec yesterday to the Deer Yards. I have to admit, it was really freaking cold and a bit dull. It made for a very blah trip over all. It would have been a fantastic trip if the weather had not gotten so snapping cold. Maybe a trip there in the spring will be better. I have a little gallery up, there are only about 7 photos for now, more to come later

Dutchesss LOVES her fireplace. And yes, it’s hers; she hogs the space in front of it, all the heat coming off it.

So I just plunked down the dollars for the basic nursery decoration. I got the bedding, the lion pillow, the valance for the the window, the lampshade and the animal garland. Being that it’s being sent UPS, I’m sure it will be here for when the baby is about 2 years old. It has to circle round the US for a while, maybe go over seas, then back again.

and packing away things that my ass will not be able to see the inside of for the next 10 months. I may need to crawl under the house and see if I can round up an empty storage bin.
I have tackled the nursery a bit though today. Got everything but the shoe bin out of the closet and sorted. I purged a lot of paper and junk as well. Doing that really makes me want to get into the storage area under the house and throw more away -lol- Is it possible to be nesting already? This is going to play horribly into my obsessive need to list and organize, I can tell already.
I did find a card from Miss Bevie while sorting the nursery. She sent it to me last summer just as a hello card. It really caught me off guard and was the sweetest thing ever. I remember bawling my face off when I read it for the first time. I cried a wee bit about an hour ago when I read it again. She really is better than sliced bread.

Some people have been in the know for a while now, however it’s come time to make a little announcement to the rest of the world. There will be one more person in the household come September.
Yep, that’s right folks. We’re having a baby. Children were always spoken of but not really planned for, however as with most things - children are not out of the reach of Murphy’s Law. When you’re actively planning to not have them, is when they they decide to make an appearance. *L*
So far things are going along quite well. We’re all healthy and doing good. I am registering for my labour/birth classes next week, I should have my next ultrasound near the end of April. We will be able to find out if it’s a boy or a girl at that one. We haven’t really started doing much to the nursery, other than decide we are going with an African safari theme and choosing a crib style. The room’s been a “catchall” for just about everything for the past year, so we need to do some cleaning up and storing things.
