We had some pretty steady and solid freezing rain the past day. Started yesterday afternoon, quit this afternoon. I went out with the camera to get some shots before things melted. If all stays the same tomorrow morning, I plan on doing some more.

I’ve got the post christmas catchup to do, I’m currently writing the 2005 year in reviews (unlike most i post mine after 2005 is over, as much can change in the last few minutes), I have the obligatory what are your resolutions/goals/changes you want to make in 2006 post to make, oh and there is this pesky work thing i have to do in there somewhere.. i also have a couple of photography galleries to whip together.
i’ve also promised a new layout to rusty, and I’d like to start plunking away at miaouphoto’s gallery layout.
So yeah, Dutchess was the winner for today’s Christmas haul.

Not a whole lot. Just been getting ready for the holidays. Finishing up the decorations, cleaning house. My mum arrives in about 5 hours she should just be getting ready to leave Toronto now. I haven’t heard anything from her or S so I am assuming she got on the train fine and that she’s made it to Toronto fine. Now, if I hear from her around 4, then it’s time to panic.
Over the next few days things are going to be pretty busy. Tomorrow AM I’m taking Mum to the Canadian Civilization Museam and then out shopping downtown so she get whatever it is she needs to get. Tomorrow evening involves lots of running around for groceries and getting things ready to cook on Friday. Friday we have dinner around 6 with Kev’s mom G, her husband J, Kev’s brother D and his girlfriend R. Saturday is mass clean up, go see Flame, prep for Sunday cooking. Saturday night we are going to Kev’s dad’s place for dinner with him(B), his wife M, D and R. Then Sunday is lots of cooking, and dinner again here with B,M, D, R.
I’m not sure what to do with Monday. I need to investigate what is going to be open as far as site seeing etc, to take my mum out for another visit. She leaves Tuesday AM bright and early at 6am.
I think I have all of my Christmas shopping done. I need some correct size plastic bags. I may just pop into the store I got my stuff from and get bags from them to house my presents in. I should have done that from the start, but i didn’t realize they had bags for them! I still have some stuff to wrap for my mom. I should probably do that before she gets here. Meh.
Marc brought Calypso over tonight for them to meet. Dutchess was a bit unsure about a dog in her house when they first arrived, but after some sniffing through the baby gate and having a walk they were on the road to being good buddies.

I found table linens today at Linens’N'Things. So happy :) AND they’re the ones I had been seeing everywhere that wouldn’t ship to me.
Some more backyard nature. I have yet to capture the woodpecker.
