Childhood cartoons long forgotten

Belle and Sebastian. No, not the group.. but the cartoon! While searching for info on MCoG I found this link and had yet another childhood freakout memory*L* Does anyone else remember this one?

So I started poking around at the Absolute Anime site, and discovered a few more cartoons I had forgotten about, but remember seeing/loving as a young child with cable tv.

The Little Prince

Littl’ Bits

The Mysterious Cities of Gold

I popped over at Squish’s for a bit.. and Spike mentioned one of the shows he remembered from his childhood was The Mysterious Cities of Gold.. I remember watching this show, I never knew how it ended.. Does anyone know where if at all I can find this? *L* It’s strange, I just downloaded the theme song.. and I have often found myself humming this theme.. and never realizing what the hell it was*L* It’s seriously one of those, god i wish i could remember that song! moments.. I’m gonna have to see what I can find as far as copies of the episodes. Kudos Spike for the memory jolt.

NanoWrimo Again

NanoWrimo is starting again in a bit. I’ve decided to have a crack it again. Time will be limited, but I shall do my best. They are also taking donations, for this years costs and further projects of building libraries in Cambodia.

Updates

We’ll start with work. Training on Thursday was pretty easy, work yesterday was pretty good. Only had a few questions about classifications, the people are great.. and wow is it nice getting off work at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. The only thing that sucks about the job, is my chair-lol- It’s one of those $9.99 Staples rejects that only has one adjustment and that’s up or down. I’m going to have to get some sort of chair support pad for my back.. because man does it every hurt right now.

We went out to see Flame last night to drop off his new bucket o’ meds, and to take photographs. All was well till we actually started to go outside of the barn. The front area is a terrifying area, and well he was not generally not impressedd. We saw a doe and her twin fawns. They were so adorable.. Flame was totally entranced by them… not scared, just veeeeeeerrry interested. We did get a few photos taken amidst all the freakout issues Flame had. I posted them on his site.. I’ve also done some digging on his pedigree, and have found that he has some impressive blood in him.

I still have a huge entry to write. I started it last week, and just haven’t gotten back to it.. but I shall finish it up soon.

OH.. and the ceilings.. how could I forget the ceilings.. Apparently the guy only comes on Thursdays to do repairs. We were not on the list where we THOUGHT we had been placed. We’re supposedly the NEXT apartment up for repairs.. which means this won’t be taken care of till Thursday. Two thumbs way way up for telling us the deal behind it all-grinds teeth-

Flames Pedigree

so far, I’ve gone all the way back on his Grandsire’s side to 1633 to the Old Morocco Barb (AKA Fairfax’s Morocco Barb). Imported 1637 from Morocco, for Charles I, the earliest imported stallion registered in the GSB. Of course many Thoroughbred’s have these lines, but to put a few in the mix, Darley Arabian, Eclipse, the Goldophin Arabian, Regulus, which ironically is the name of Flame’s one nephew, Darcy’s Yellow Turk, Place’s White Turk, Khaled, Hyperion, Swaps, Man O’ War, Sir Gallahad, War Admiral….

I’ve also discovered my horse’s pedigree crisscrosses itself more than a nun in a whorehouse.

New Flame Photos

I so do not keep up with this blog.. but yea.. someday.. I need to get into a solid routine with Flame. I know now that I have a job, I can get some lessons going.. and lessons mean practice time.. and practice time means a routine. Regardless of all that.. K & I went out to see Flame last night to take him his worming meds and do some photographs. All started out well, with a good solid grooming, tail combing. Once exiting the barn, all bets were off. Flame became a First Class Ass.

The drive leading into my barn is a fairly long one, which leads to the main road, which while standing in the drive, you cannot see across the street, for there is a large stone bridge. Well, Dingbat saw the man across the road mowing his lawn.. and because he could only catch glimpses of him before the “bridge” made him disappear, it was the SCARIEST thing in the world. Drama queen session quickly started and proceeded for the next half hour while I tried to keep a smile on my face, as Dingbat whirled, twirled, fussed, pushed, shoved and drug me about the front lawn, while Kev tried to get some photos. The setting sun was providing some lovely light, it was a shame that lawnmower was on it’s way to execute some evil plan to anihilate this poor horse that had no defenses what so ever.

Seeing some of the photos afterwards, and just even during that time, reminded me how BIG Flame is*L*. It also reminded me how much he looks like his great-grandsire. I went looking round the net for some pictures of him, found a few.. Plus a little movie and that there is a book about him. Trying to find more information on his family treee.
