1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not?
Yes I do. I find it relaxing and accomplishing.. because I’d say 98% of the time.. the shopping is for other people, and it makes me feel good when i can bring together a cute little gift of various items for someone special.

2. What was the last thing you purchased?
groceries.. including bananachips, apple rings, sprouts of 2 varieties, shrimpies and some tasty bread.

3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why?
Depends on what I am shopping for.. Most of the time if it can be found easily in the store.. it gets bought in the store.. but somethings are purchased online.. like movies/books/collectibles that are diffulcult to come by.

4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it?
i did.. it varied.. i realy don’t remember.. i think i got like 5-10 for the week.. and as i got older it stopped, specially when i started working.. but i would be given money if i was going out.. couple bucks here and there to cover things. most of the time i was with my folks anyways so they picked up the tab.

5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing?
i dunno.. i’m a very fussy shopper.. so i really don’t regret purchases very often.

new ish stuff

over on picturing. go now.. leave comments.thanks.

Foreign ~ Photo Friday

Coins from my husbands travels. Being that I haven’t left North America, coins from different countries always amaze me. I believe right now my favourites are the British Pound, and the Caribbean Territories coins.

Coings from L-R:
Top Row: 2 French Francs, 55 CentsCaribbean Territory, 10 Mexican Pesos.
Middle Row: 500 Italian Lire, 1 British Pound
Bottom Row: 1 Euro Cent

Onesome. Happy. When you think about being happy, what comes to mind? Is there something that always gives you a smile no matter how down you may be? Oddly enough my parents. In the past few years that I have spent in Canada, and away from my family home.. I have realized truely how blessed I am to have these people in my life that love me so much. I never had an easy relationship with my parents from about the time I was 15 and till shortly after I moved out. I think many people have gone through that situation to where they end up getting along better with their family when they are no longer on a day to day basis with them. I though have realized just how much I value them; their advice, my father’s terrible relentless teasing (cause of MANY MANY fights in the household), my mother’s hugs. When you cannot have them, you understand exactly how much it really affected your life. Knowing that our relationship has become one of friendship and love, to where we can have a conversation without hating each other at the end, makes me very happy. Something that always makes me smile, when thinking about them.. is my dad.. and his music. We both enjoy the same kind, and whenever I hear something we both know.. I think of him, and feel better because we always have that connection.

Twosome. Thanksgiving. In the US, it’s Thanksgiving. But we can all be thankful. Tell us, what are YOU thankful for? I’m thankful for my parents, my husband and my friends. That even through distance and time.. there are certain things, that still keep us all together somehow.. be it music, wallace & gromit.. or one ill tempered fridge guardian.. and I’m glad for that.

Threesome. 2003. It’s getting close to the end of another year. As you begin to reflect back, pick out a couple of good things that have happened this year. Yeah, we all have the bad, but today, just focus on the good! GOod things that happened this year.. ohboy.. well. Immigration papers were sent out, the husband and I had our 1st anniversary together, settled more into my photography, had a lovely vacation, met several new and beautiful friends.. and overall just enjoyed the time i had with everyone. There wasn’t a whole lot of bad this year -knocks on wood-

Thankful ~ Theme Thursday

I am thankful.. for the love and companionship of my husband.
