As of the 28th after the ceremony I will be a Canadian citizen (right now still just a landed immigrant). I will carry dual citizenship for both the United States and Canada. I will carry 2 passports (I enter each country on the appropriate passport[enter Amurikah on the US passport, enter Canaduh on the Canadian one]). As far as traveling between countries that has been totally fine (legal) at all stages of this journey (visitor visa length), it got more legal in May of 2004 when my permanent residence was approved (granting me legal residency status in Canada) and I became a landed immigrant. I had to wait a total of 1095 days before applying for Citizenship. Once becomming a citizen I have all the rights that a natural born Canadian has.

Congratulations! Does this mean you now qualify as a dumb Canuck? *ducks and covers* All joking aside, how does that work? Is it dual citizenship, both countries, or do you have to denounce your American citizenship? Is it now easier for you to come and go between countries? Inquiring minds want to know.
