2007 In Review Part 1
1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?:
I took a chance on making some new friends and they’ve ended up being some of the best I’ve ever had.
2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?:
I failed all but 2 I think. I would like to think I succeeded at the last two.
2007’s Goals
- Lose 50 pounds and get into shape - HAHAHA. After giving birth to my son, I lost the 25 I gained during pregnancy plus more for a total of 35 pounds or so, however in 2007 I put it ALL back on.
- find my creative spark again - if anything, I’ve lost more of my creative spark this year.
- play the piano more - I played it about 5 times.. not sure if that was more than 2006 though *L*
- ride Flame more - Embarrassed to say I didn’t ride as much as I should have much less as much as I’d like to. I have however found a really wonderful lady to ride him for me and they’re doing wonderful together.
- appreciate the smaller finer simpler things in life - not even sure what the small things are at this point. I’m frightened to admit how much my job has really skewed my view of things along with making me come unglued.
- be a good mommy and a better wife - I’d like to think I did pretty ok at these. Lucien is thriving, curious, energetic, loving and an all around sweet guy. I’m still married and Kev says he still loves me so I guess I’m doing ok there too. If it wasn’t for these two wondeful creatures I’d be in a scary place.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?:
My friend Lynn had her son Michael on the 21st and a high school mate of mine, his wife had their first child, Julia on the 19th. Congrats to them both!

11. What was the best thing you bought?:
85mm 1.8 Lens :)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?:
Lucien’s. He’s such a joy. People will say I’m biased because I’m his mother, but I am being brutally honest here when I say I have never in my life met a more easy going child. This isn’t to say that he doesn’t have his moments where I wish I was far far away being childfee on a tropical island sipping fruity drinks but he really is full of sunshine a good 98% of the time. He’s so bright and inquisitive, he learns at an amazing rate. He truely boggles my mind. His vocabulary (used in context even!) is well over 100 words and he’s not even 16 months old.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?:
Some people who were in charge and that should have better behaviour.

Spent Christmas with Kev’s fam and my mom in our usual fashion.
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?:
In an unexpected way. This year I made 2 extremely good friends, which took me by suprise. I hadn’t thought that these 2 wonderful women would affect me in such a grand way, but they have. I wouldn’t trade them for the world. They make me laugh in the best way at the most hilarious things as well as probably some of the worst things.. which is what makes them the best.. because we can laugh at the horrible things together as well as the good. It’s been a really long time since I’ve had a friend much less two that has struck such chords in my heart and I can honestly say that I love them lots.
