In Flander’s Field the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
no bionic woman tonight, maybe tomorrow. had chili for dinner, got the heartburn now. kid peed on the duvet, it’s still in the wash. we’re all still up. it’s nearly 11pm :\
not very good towards losing weight. Oh well. Had a good time with Lynn and Tanya and the kids. Lucien was a bit of a piranha however with several chomp attempts on L&L’s heads (when he wasn’t playing them like bongos that is). Sent my weigh in photo to the organizer of the BLC. I’ve lost some weight since the last time I weighed myself so I feel pretty good about that -lol- Now let’s see if I can keep it up!
There will be at least a post every other day that will be private for the next little while during the BLC. Most of you out there can read it, so if you are interested in following my progress, you’re gonna have to log in yo!
Went to lunch with Juli, edited the rest of the Arboretum photos and then watched The Royal Tenenbaums. It was a pretty brilliant little flick. Not a big Ben Stiller fan but I do love me some Wilson brothers. DST has messed a bit with Lucien’s schedule but not too bad. I have a bunch of photos to edit from this weekend and the different events I went to. Anyhoos, it’s bedtime. See you tomorrow.
Went to the Arboretum this morning with Miss Yumi. Wandered the park, saw a bunch of dogs running free (bigger rant about that to come in the next few days), got some lovely photographs and came home not long after the boys woke up. I stopped on the way home to the organic market we have here on our end of town and picked up some African eats - Injeras and Sambousas. Lucien had a mild vegetarian one (no mild meat variety yesterday) and we had a spicey meat version.
After lunch we were tryign to clean up a bit when Julia called. I had to go to her apartment and get the extra car keys from her hubby. She had locked herself out of the car…with Eric inside. No big panic but still kinda scary. I gave her a hot tip of hooking her keys to her purse or her clothes so that she never left them on the car seat etc. I came home to mother in law and hubby, and brother in law and sister in law to be in the house . We visited with them for a while and then Lucien and I had a nap.
I’m going scrapbooking tonight with Julia and a few other moms from my group at another mom’s house. Should be pretty fun, I haven’t had the chance to scrapbook in a few weeks and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to knock some pages out. I need to get an ideas book or something to give me some more complex creativity for them however, my pages kinda all look the same. I wouldn’t mind a fewtastytools from CreativeMemories either! *L*
It’s November 1. Today? Eh, it’s been ok. Work was work which means it was just a few steps up from hell on Earth, I had a great nap with the kiddo, watched an old favourite of mine on the telly (Flight of Dragons) and we’ve just had a nice sushi dinner and watching that disaster movie from a few years ago with Jake Gyllenhal, a frozen NYC and wolves.
Thank God tomorrow is Friday, because well. I’m sick of it being a weekday.
A note to readers
I'm currently fixing the site to work with and reflect the changes brought to the table with WordPress 2.5 . My previous theme hasn't been updated to be compatible with 2.5 yet. I don't want to put too much effort into this setup, only to have to change it back, so please be patient with me.
