22 days to go

until Christmas. Weeee

The baby is mostly shopped for, there are a few odds and ends for stocking stuffers and one other toy I need to see if we can have it ordered/shipped in time. Kev is half shopped for, my parents I know what I’m getting them but haven’t gotten around to doing it yet. Sister in law to be I know what at least part of her gift is, brother in law, mother in laws, father in laws… noclue. Need to sit down with Kev and work out a plan for that, I’m willing to do the leg work as long as there is some extra input.

My mom arrives on the 14th, I need to really get rocking on the guest room and the clutter issues. I also want to get the baby’s old clothes/toys packed up and put in storage to make room for the impending you know it’s going to happen spoiling. I pack up his toys that he’s had out for a while and that he’s not played with much lately and then bring them back out in a few months to be OMGNEW again. Most of his toys are above the recommended age so this works out nicely *L* I’d ideally like to set up the guest room as a guest/scrapbooking room for me. There is this wee desk at IKEA that would suit my purposes, plus give me a place to drop my giant case(s) of materials to work without having to lug them all over the house. I also have about 4 giant boxes of my clothing that I need to sort through. Lots of doesn’t fit me, lots of out of styles. There is a giant box of shoes, I don’t know who I’m kidding with all those shoes, but I wear 2 pair of shoes really. My NIKEs and my work shoes. Occassionally I bust out my black ankle boots for “fancier” settings.

I SHOULD be upstairs working on all of that right now because Lucien is still sleeping as is Kev. Rough night last night, buddy’s got a cold so he spent most of it snorting and snuffling trying to get comfortable. Which meant I spent most of the night listening to him snort and snuffle trying to get comfortable. I dosed up his bottle with some infant meds and it sounds like he’s been sleeping pretty soundly for the past 2 hours, so hopefully he’ll not be a cranky booger when he wakes up. Kev’s snoring so I know he’s at least getting a bit more sleep.

So I suppose I’ll pop on up stairs now and see if there is anything I can get done in the precious little bit of time I may have left while the boys are sleeping.

Bwhahahaha. That cracks me up. If that isn’t the best story I’ve heard about babies and beer it should be. :)
