apparently you guys want 30 days

of baby talk because I have yet to see one suggestion about NaBloPoMo entries. Either that or no one reads this anymore -lol-

I spent the weekend in Toronto, ok one night/one day but it was super fun. I met up with a friend who lives on the other side of Toronto for some shopping and a craft show. Well, we went shopping and never made it to the craft show. We decided to drive around a bit, and then discovered part of the Canadian Exhibition Centre had a giant haunted house type thing set up. It was like 5 haunted houses, some carnival rides, games, a maze, food. We enjoyed having the pants scared off us. Well, more Amy scared than I. I will admit to a few times of being startled and screaming, but I spent most of it cackling nervously and dragging Amy through the dark while she clutched to my hand.

We stayed in this old hotel downtown. It seemed pretty classy and full of history. Well, history it had -lol- The room was a bit dingy, we got shafted with a smoking room due to being booked full (how I have no idea at this point). The wall paper was singed in some spots, the parts that were painted had so much paint slathered on that it was peeling off. If I didn’t recognize the carpet and central staircase I’d say it wasn’t the same building they took photos of. The images have to be from the “mansion” rooms upstairs as not a single room photo comes close to what we had - which was not a whole lot. The lights in the bathroom didn’t even work except for the few bulbs over the sink! But it was at least clean and it was only for one night so no huge loss.

As fun as it was to get away and have some girly time in the Big City, I was quite eager to get home and snuggle with my boys. I missed them lots and was pretty homesick for some baby hugs.
