I had to take Lucien to the walk in today because he’s got himself a nasty wheezy cough. It’s not gone down into the lungs but we have to watch to make sure it doesn’t etc etc and take him in if it does. Not really how I wanted to spend my first Mother’s Day, but oh well. They gave me a sample med that was all in kg and I’m like er, I have no idea how much he weighs, so I suckered the nurse into weighing the little man for me. He’s at 17.5 pounds. Up 2 pounds from his last Dr. appt at the beginning of April. He’s such a lean thing.
My mom arrives for 2 weeks tomorrow. I have to collect her after belly dancing class. Her train arrives around 750 and my class ends at 8 so I told her to pray for the train to be a bit late and I’d be there as soon as I could get there. The class is held right up the street from the station so it’s not too bad. The only downside is not getting to hang with Aims after class like we normally do, unless of course my mom wants to get a bite to eat at Paddy’s as I’ll probably eat before class with Kevin tomorrow. Trying to figure out what to do while she’s here. We’ll definately be hitting the tulip festival during the week a couple of times, the By-Ward etc, there is a animal farm place that is kid oriented but not sure how much Loosh will get out of that*L* there is the Papanack Zoo, that might be an option. I know I’d love to take her to Montreal to the BioDome and the Botanical Gardens but I’m not sure I want to drive in Montreal, it’s kinda skeery with their drivers! Upper Canada Village opens on the 19th so I will take her sometime after that before she leaves. She’ll enjoy that for sure.
Stupid shrieking neighbours woke the baby. My fault, I cracked the window to let some fresh air in while he napped, it gets so stuffy up there in the afternoon from the sun beating down on the back of the house. So I brought him down here to the den, he sat on my desk and jabbered at me. Soon after though he passed out.
