went to St. Albert this am with Mom for cheese curds, saw lots of photo opportunities. If the weather isn’t foul next week, I think I’ll head on back there and do some shots of various things.
After lunch today we headed out to the Mudoven. We painted ornaments. I did one for Lucien and his first Christmas. Belated yes, I did buy a Baby’s First Christmas ornament but I wanted one more personal and all the “etching” places had 2 day waits on them so yeah. I’ll take pictures when I’m done.
Mom has one full day left with us. It’s snuck up on us. I think it’s because we were so damn busy running around last week. She had a full 12 days and suddenly it’s done and over with. I hope to have her back in March. Again I hate to be sending her off. I have to admit it was very nice having the extra set of hands around this week. Not only was I able to sneak some guilt free time away in the shower, or just puttering around the house to do some chores, but she got to spend lots of time getting to know the little man. They had many conversations, she did most of his bottle feeding and just had lots of snuggle time with him. It makes me happy to see it but at the same time broke my heart. She was a bit cranky this evening and I think the weight of her leaving is getting to her. I know it is me. I am a bit teary just making this entry. The baby just does too much growing too fast. I hate not having her and my Dad close.
