Tracking Santa
It’s kinda fun and makes me just ever so slightly excited.
I can remember way back to my childhood coming home from my Nanny’s house on Christmas Eve. Telling my dad to hurry hurry! because I had to be home before Santa passed over our house so that he knew I was in bed sleeping and would stop! My parents used to tell me that the red lamps at the top of the radio towers were Rudolph’s nose and I’d be so worried we’d not make it in time. I swear half of my anxiety issues I have these days stem from sweet memories like this *L*
We spent the evening at K’s dad’s place. Dinner was lovely, the gifts were nice. Lucien made out like a bandit and I had a slight chuckle as he got the same outfit from them that my dad got Lucien that I’ve already returned because it has flowers on it. I think everyone is bound and determined to get him into this outfit! So we’ll exchange it for either the duckie, giraffe or lion version. Jenn came over today with the froggie version! He also got an activity bar for his stroller, some noise making keys (2 different kinds!), a Christmas outfit from Auntie R and Uncle D, a sleeper from Poppa and Nana, and a few other little bits and bobs.
I’ve sorted the living room space out so that we can all sit and open gifts in the am. I lost one of Dutchess’s presents, so we repaired some that she’s not had for the year and they’re in the dryer right now. Gave them a good wash, knock the doggie drool stink off them.
