Dreaming.In.Reality

I picked out some pictures that maybe hopefully will go well on the wall of the nursery. We shall see. I’d really like to get new ones, but Lion Safari is nearly 6 hours away and Parc Safari is 3 and a bit a way. I kept thinking oh Lion Safari really isn’t that far away, until I was actively looking for the signs when we drove to Windsor -sighs-. Shame because it really is the better of the two! The MIL is going to Africa for a photosafari, but that’s in February I believe and well. Not wanting to wait that long -lol- My mom sent some cute little cutout prints, I THINK from a calendar that will work too. Just ahve to find some little 6×6 frames at like IKEA or something.

Kev installed the closet hanging rod yesterday afternoon sometime when I wasn’t looking, I took the old one down earlier in the day. I got the lamp painted yesterday as well. It looks nice :) We went shopping over the weekend and picked up all the paint and painting supplies for Kev to do the mural. Got the rug to go under the crib; it’s not the one from IKEA but looks similiar in a beige with brown trim. We have the desk and computer drawer to get still as well as some electrical/cable stuff Kev needs to do his wiring/networking.

Today we picked up the next round of invites from the dollar store, got a storage drawer system for the closet and some fragrence/dye free detergent. I’m currently doing my first 3 loads of baby laundry. Weee. Let me tell you, these little baby socks? They’re so gonna get lost. I lose MY socks, these tiny things don’t have a chance! once everything is dry, it’ll all get folded up and put in the closet drawer dodad. This way most of everything is ready to go and I won’t have to worry about washing a zillion clothes in a months time. I still have blankets and sheets to wash. Mom called today to let me know she bought a diaperbag for us and that it’s on it’s way. I need to go and pick up the tags and crap I ripped off the clothing that I am washing so that it’s not all over the living room. The plan is to try and get the poor room less looking like babies r us threw up all over it. Plus I’d like to run the vacuum and I’m not moving 5829302839 gift bags to do it.

Tomorrow afternoon I’m meeting with Sandi and Jenn to do invite writing for the next baby shower. I’m going to also try and do the thank you notes for the Windsor shower while they’re doing the invites. I need to round up addresses for those having invites mailed to them. I have 3 I’m hand delivering. I just dunno where we’re gonna go and sit to do this. I’d optimally like to do it here at the house, but again with that living room business. Maybe if I get it mostly cleared up. We’d have all we needed here plus we could entertain ourselves, order a pizza. It’d be nicer than taking up space at a restaurant, or getting into this writing business and discover we need something. OH, and I have to print out the “registry/map” thing and have copies of that printed off for the invites. I’m hoping to have these things out by Thursday, Friday at the latest. Thankfully most of these are going to the Ottawa area and will have a quick delivery date. There is still plenty of time for people to arrange everything however lots of people go out of town a lot, so earlier notification is best!

The rest of my week is looking pretty full. Nothing too stressful or overwhelming. My father in law is getting remarried Weds morning! I cannot wait for that :) It’ll be a small affair, but wonderful none the less. We have babyschool that eve and then our maternity photos Friday evening. The daytime hours will be most likley filled with sorting and organizing. Weeee
