30 and a half weeks
THIRTY and a half! OUT OF FORTY!
Time is really flying by. It’s getting a bit scary. The ball is really rolling now. Our labour & birth/newborn classes start tonight, they run till August 9th. I have my prenatal appointments that go every 2 weeks scheduled now to the middle of August, which they then switch to once a week. Those two things combined will make the next two months go extremely fast in my opinion. Too fast really. I’m just starting to really enjoy this pregnancy business and I’m faced with the deadline of nearly done! What do you mean nearly done! It was like, just yesterday I was giving poor Kev the “baby we need to talk” line, sending our world crashing down around our ears. What? That was back in the first week of January you say, surely you jest.
-sighs-
Last night Jenn was over. It was the first time I had seen her in over a month, as June was so hectic and rather shoddy combined with the whole hospital trip and stress over possibly having gestational diabetes (which i don’t). We had supper, chit chatted, watched some movies and then someone decided to put on a show. My belly was jumping all over the place with this little squirmy wiggleworm rocking out, Jenn was over the moon. It gave me the warm fuzzies. We spent a bit of time up in the nursery as well, looking over the bits and pieces we have so far. I pointed out where different things were going to go for the furniture etc.
I’ve been trying to get little videos of this kid rocking out in my belly for the past few days now. I got one where you can see a little belly jump on my left side in the first 5 seconds or so, even though the video is nearly minute long. I kept hoping he’d jump around again. It seems my camera is always somewhere else in the house when he starts, and after getting up to go get it, he’s not interested in moving around anymore! Soon hopefully I’ll get some more.
Just about everything is set for the baby shower in 2 weeks. I still have to organize up the games and hit the dollar store for some nifty little prizes. We have a new dollar store in our area that is supposed to be slightly “higher end” if such a term can be applied to a dollar store *L* They must be though, because they take debit.. where the others don’t *L* Kev’s mom is taking Dutchess and Sport for the weekend, so they’re settled away. Flame is pretty self sufficient with L taking care of him at the stable. We need to get a little 3 day feeder for Pedro, hopefully he’ll be smart enough to figure it out. I also need to call the hotel and confirm the type of eats we want for the shower. Then the week of I have to call and confirm the number of people attending. Which any of you reading this that got invites, please RSVP soon; lack of RSVP makes for a very nervous Becka. You people know this *L* I’ve also started making lists for Baby Shower round 2 for here in Ottawa. The invites for that have to go out in the next week and a bit. At least with this one, I can recycle the games and what not. The menu will be easier to control and be more varied. The bonus? It’s only as far away as walking out of my bedroom and down the stairs to attend! weee!
