Guest Room is finished

Well mostly. I still have to clean my crap off the bookshelf and organize that, but I’m not really worried. I put the dresser together today, stuffed it in the closet, put the bed skirt on (yes Rusty I found something!), tightened the legs on the side tables, put the sheets etc on. I think I want a throw pillow for the middle of the two sham pillows. Kev hung “Stormy Weather” for me and all was set. For the bed skirt I ended up getting a king skirt that was on clearance for 15 bucks (I couldn’t find a queen skirt in plain cream for less than $60), and a box of bedskirt tacks, pinned the skirt down on the box spring in the corners, folded the center excess fabric nice and neat, then tacked that down, threw the mattress back on and VIO LA. done. I did photos.. you’ll find them under the cut.

Another Photo Gallery Up

I have uploaded yesterday’s jaunt to Upper Canada Village to Picturing Reality’s gallery. We went with the fam to the Alight at Night show, which is essentially the village decorated in all sorts of Christmas lights. I went a few years ago and it was nice to get back down there this time. I am thinking of taking my mum down there, but honestly I’m not sure when as the 23-25th are essentially booked. Meh. There is never enough time, but that’s another blog entry. In anycase, Head on over to the Gallery and have a look around Leave some comments, something. Feedback and constructive criticism is nice to have you know :)

Alight at Night ~ Upper Canada Village

We went to Upper Canada Village tonight with the family as part of Christmas celebrations. I took some pictures. The first half of the gallery are still images, taken with the new 20D on a tripod, most at 1.5 seconds with some of the more “distance” shots bumped up to at least 2.3 seconds. The more ziggy zaggy lights were taken either on the train or carriage ride. Here is the Alight at Night Gallery link

The tree is up

however still needs some decorations, some adjusting as it’s a bit crooked, and the branches need to be bent around a bit to fill in gaps a bit better.

but it’s all put together.

all 8 feet of it.

there isn’t much ceiling clearance
