Well starting with last night, I got a fabulous night’s sleep. I was up at 4 yesterday to get Bev up and out the door. I didn’t sleep from 4-730, I may have dozed off for a bit, but mostly I just rested and watched the shadows from the blinds move up the wall from the rising sun’s light. I went to a horse show yesterday, the Trillium Dressage Championships. K1 rode Ransom in 2 tests, and did exceptionally well. K2 was unable to ride due to Foxy being sick :( I’m sure they would have kicked some ass if poor Foxaroos was up to snuff. I got some great photos, as well as my first sale of horse show photos, made some contacts with other people for possible equine portraits. After waking up, I sluffed about for a bit, then started work. Coded up a bunch of documents. Well not a bunch, but 3! Then I had a shower and went to the Centre to sign up for the photoclub. Then I went grocery shopping, and picked up sushi for dinner. Came home, ate sushi.. watched Final Fantasy : Advent Children… came downstairs and finished up my club competition entry photos. The deadline is tomorrow night, and they’re all submittted now. Sept 22 is the judging night and the 27th is presentation to the club. The next comp is Graphic Arts and it is to be handed in by Oct. 18. I need to find me some funky stuff for that. Anyhoos, if you want to have a peek at the photos, they’re over on Picturing.
Part of my halloween costume arrived today, however the hobag of a mailperson never rang the damn doorbell. Just left the tried to deliever no answer card in the box. I was awake when they were here-shakes fist- This isn’t the first time it’s happened and it drives me CRAZY. So now after 1pm tomorrow I have to go pick it up. -grumps-

The category is Nature and then there is a “general” category. I chose a wood duck photo for my assignment category and a polar bear for my general interest. I had a few others, but I think they will do better in later competitions. Judging night is the 22nd.

There seems to be some great debate about jello on Bev’s site. SO! Question time. What do you call the following form of jello?

3)Jello Jigglers
Please state in the comments, what you call it and where you are from/grew up. I grew up in Michigan and have always known it as Finger Jello.

is so nice.
i miss bev already, it was very strange just having her here for like a day -lol- but very fun none the less. i look forward to the weekend.
things are arriving for my costume. i need to go to the fabric store as soon as i get my paycheck and get what i need to sew.
i also went to the photoclub meeting last night. it was good, i got to show a few photos. i made a little print book as well. i’m going to mount the photos on some cardstock to give it more oomph and less photo album look. again, once my paycheck arrives, i’ll go sign up for the club and get my butt moving on my very first competition entry. The theme is nature. I may have to go out and take a photo or 100 for something new.

I’ve decided to join one of the local photography clubs. I’ve been saying I’m going to do this for years now, however it’s time to get moving on this. Being in the club will help me tremendously get experience, go new places and recieve constructive feedback on what I am doing or not doing.
My mother in law and her bf both belong to this photoclub, so I’ll have someone to relate to there. Plus I know several people there already from over the years, so no stranger danger -smirks-. The bf mentioned that it would be a show and tell meeting tonight, and I graciously asked what sort of show and tell, them or us *L* He said that it wouldn’t be a problem if new members were to bring something. That equated to a big NUDGENUDGEWINKWINK. So here I sit, putting together a little portfolio thing. I just have to go out get them printed and then find a photo album of some sort to put them in. Hopefully I can find one that I can add/remove pages for a 5×7. I’ll make an ittybitty gallery of the images I chose later on.
