Be good kiddies

I’m off for a few days. Everyone be good, play safe. I hope to be able to check my email while I’m there.

See you on Monday :)

Can you afford to ignore small caps?

why yes.. yes i can.

I swear the spam in my inbox is getting stranger by the day.

So my head didn’t asplode today, however I thought it might from concentrating so hard. Like all the rest of the muscles in my body, the brain has gotten fat and flabby. But! I made it through with shining colours. Well ok I made it through *L*

I popped out to the train station this eve after finishing up work, and picked up my ticket. Thought I’d be smert and go to teh South Keys for Mark’s Warehouse for the skirt I saw. However, they didn’t have any. I was sad. The rest of their stuff was eh cute, but it wasn’t that skirt! So maybe I will scoot to the other one tomorrow and see if they still have any there. After that bust, I went to the Wal-Mart to pick up some picture hanging wire so that we could hang the art. K has Starry Night ready to be hung. I cannot wait to see it all up.

Not much else is going on. I’m looking forward to going home. I’ve been very nostalgic for Michigan the past few weeks. Not so much as missing the hometown alone, but all the neat things that make Michigan special. I’m hoping that I can get Lorie to go to this restaurant with me on Friday-chuckles- I’ll have sushi, but they have a full menu so there should be something for her to pick from. It should be an interesting time. I wish I had more time to spend there, but things are busy and there is too much to do here.

It’s been some time

So lets catch up.

First, the yard. It’s all soaked in. It cleared itself up thank god after a few days. It’s still pretty wet in some areas towards the very back, as it doesn’t get sun as much as the rest of the yard, but it will sort itself out. We have spent quite a bit of time at Home Depot lately. Getting various yard tools as our projects call for them. We’re getting ready to grade the perimeter of the house, seed and fertilize. We raked the front yard yesterday, pulling up dead grass, sticks, a few pieces of kids toys.. The backyard still needs to be done.

I yanked out one mini garden’s borderbricks. Man those things are huge and heavy and such a horrible way to frame the garden! There is the entire back line of the fence done with these bricks, as well 2 other mini gardens. I fear pulling the ones up in the front flower bed as well-meh- K sawed down the grapevine that was covering the arbor yesterday as well. Pulled the arbor apart so that it can be repaired, sanded and painted. I trimmed branches away from the house/gutters on the lilac tree. The shed is finally clear of snow and everything-lol- HOwever the doors on it suck, and I hope they can be repaired.

The little seedlings for the garden are growing amazing! We have them on the counter in the kitchen under the cabinet lighting. I was worried about my columbine flowers, not sprouting as i planted them, and then read I was supposed to chill them first. However today I had a peek while watering and I can just now start to see bits of seedling pushing their way up from the peat pellet. yay! The front flower garden is full of tulips coming up, as well as what I’m thinking are daffodils, but I’m not sure.. I know they’re not tulips. That is all *L*
