10 years graduated
my 10 year reunion is happening right now.
i’m sorta sad i am not there, but at the same time, those who i’ve wanted to keep in touch with i have over the years. those that i haven’t, well most of them i didn’t like anyways. i have found a few people over the past few months that i did want to keep in contact so it’s good to know that they are healthy and doing well.

I kinda know what you mean. Although, I didn’t go to mine and I’m not sad I didn’t go. The people I care to keep in touch with I do. The rest I could care less about. I certainly didn’t want to sit around listening to everyone brag about how well they’re doing. Especially considering the love of my life was in another country.
That and they held the reunion on the same weekend I had booked to go to the Gold Coast Indy… hmmmm V8 Supercars/ Indycars…… people I went to school with…. geeeeeee.. tough choice for me.. .hehe

pretty template, mew! I need a christmas one. I’ve been searching, but can’t find anything I like!
and… i won’t be attending any of my “reunions”. lol I didn’t like 99.9% of those people and could care less what drugs they’re smoking now.

I went to mine and I had mixed feelings. On one hand, it was really great to see several people that I only keep in contact with every couple of years. And on the other hand, it was funny to see how some people never left that high school mentality behind.
Rather than have the reunion in the summer months when people from out of state could travel without having to take the kids out of school, our class cabinet planned to have it during Homecoming Week so we could all relive how much school spirit we had… oh yeah… out of 360+ students in our class only 16 people went to the game. Great plan, Asshats.
The sad thing was there were two reunions for our class; The Official Class of 1990 Reunion… and then there was the Anti-Reunion.
The official reunion was the one everybody received invitations to and people paid good money to fly back and see everyone.
The anti-reunion was all the snitches and bitches that never left our town who decided they see everyone around town so fuck the people who left. Both were held the same night, and if you didn’t live in town, you didn’t get an invitation.
How jacked up is that? Needless to say, it put a huge black mark on our class that when they tried to schedule a 15 year reunion, only a dozen or so people responded and thus it was cancelled.

if the mailing list for our reunion was an indicator, out of over 500 students, there was only about 25-40 students that went. reunion.com wouldn’t release a ticket sold count. there were a lot of us that didn’t want to spend the $80 to only see 10 people. we could do that on our own time for much cheaper. -sighs- my friend Justin went, I am expecting a full report of things in the next few days.

Hm, my “10 year reunion” would be coming up next year - THERE’S a scary thought. Unfortunately, I seem to be the only one of my old classmates interested, since most of them still live in Iqaluit and see each other all the time. Besides, there were only about 16 of us. Guess I’ll just have to try to catch up with them all one at a time…

You didn’t miss much other than a slight waste of money. There were a few people I was glad to see, but mostly no one I wanted to see was there. Boooooring.

how many people were there J? honestly the only one that i can think of that i would have wanted to see would be Tim, however I see him usually when I’m in the states regardless at his shows etc.

I had a great 10 year reunion. Our class had grown up for the most part and the division lines were pretty much blurred. Granted our reunion was hastily thrown together but we had 23 people show up out of our class of 60.
We just happened to have a kegger by the lake with grills. Very low-key, but a good time. Of course the keg was floating by 4 and the reunion started at 1:30

On an odd reunion not… my mom had four people in her graduating class. My aunt was the only person in her graduation class. Her life is a daily class reunion. Heh.
