my dog the nutbar
every day is a learning experience with this beast -lol- we’re getting used to each other, and learning her quirks. i always knew this dog was a strange one-lol- but man oh man. she just has these moments that are like OMG U R SO SMERT! and then she totally reverses herself and becomes an absolute idiot.
take for example the other day. i was vacuuming. she’s SCARED TO DEATH of the vacuum, but everytime i turned the vacuum on, she HAD to be in the same room, spazzing out infront of the thing. i’d tell her to go out of the room, she’d leave and then run right back in again. the whole time, with this look of absolute terror on her face convinced the vacuum was going to eat her.
she also has these endearing moments where she wants you to pet her. she’ll come “flip” your elbow up so that she can stuff her face up under your arm, thus enabling your hand to fall just in the exact perfect spot to be able to scratch under her chin and chest. she will also rest her head on your leg and just stare you down till you give in and pet her head. she’s got the softest fur on top of her noggin.
she’s also learning that the floor down here is a bit too much fun -lol- remember the scene in Bambi when he goes out on the ice for the first time? yeah, that’s my dog on the laminate flooring. no traction.what.so.ever. it’s quite amusing. today she actually hit the floor coming off the stairs so fast, she spun herself like a top.
in the smart end of things. she’s learning very well what side she is to walk on, sitting on command and staying sitting, she’s slowly learning stay and down, she’s got “off” learned, as well as “wait”. she has to wait for many things. at the top of the stairs, she doesn’t come barelling down until i tell her. she doesn’t go out the door till i give the leash a tug and tell her come. she doesn’t leave the gate area until i tell her, she doesn’t go in the house till i tell her. saves everyone fustration as she’s not dragging you all over the place or knocking you down stairs.

Okay. No dog comments. Just verifying what you said in the last post. When i clicked on comments with the olock pop-up windows thingy on I get a blank window but when tell safari to “Reload page” the comments stuff comes up. Thanks for your Mac-friendliness, and friendlyness in general.
