Dreaming.In.Reality

yesterday morning while up with the dog, I was speaking with Miss Juli about the plans for the day. We didn’t really have much, so I was like oh I should take you downtown etc, for seeing all the crazy happenings. The more I thought about it, I was like meh I hate the ordeal involved with going downtown, because I’d have to park and ride as Kev was still sleeping. In the end of it, I decided that being we don’t know if Juli will be living here next July, that we should go downtown . Off we went, and arrived at the madness.

So many people, but it was really good. The energy of the crowds was high, everyone was in a good mood. The smells of all the street vendor eats were floating through the air, as people crowded around in sections to watch the street performers. We wandered around for about 5 hours or so, before decided we had seen enough and hopping back on the bus.

Once we got back to the house, we had some quick showers to rinse off and started getting dinner ready. We still hadn’t heard from Marc, so we had some chips and a hotdog to tide us over because Juli and I hadn’ eaten yet during the day. Once he was here, we fired up the grill and started with some intense eats. Steaks, sausages, hot dogs, tater salad, maple baked beans, corn on the cob and an ice cold beer to wash it down. I don’t think I’ll be eating for the next 2 days.

We were going to go back to Juli’s to watch the fireworks, but because we started grilling late, there was no way we were going to make it intime to get back there. So we hung around a bit, and watched some of an Arnie movie. I however cashed out very early, and went to bed. Juli confessed to me just about half an hour ago that she passed out shortly after I did. She woke up at 3 to pull the couch bed out.

Today we are supposed to go camping. We’re no quite ready to do it. Nothing has been dug out of the storage area, no crate for Dutchess to use in the car. We will figure out something though. We plan on leaving sometime this afternoon, visiting the campsite and family and then coming back in the am. The weather is right for it however. That storm that blew through yesterday really fixed it up for us. It’s very windy, sunny, and what could almost be considered COLD. -lol- I’m actually wanting to be in the sun to stay toasty.
