Dreaming.In.Reality

I went to Gatineau Hills twice last week. *L* Makes up for the fact that I hardly went at all last year I suppose. I went the first night(Tuesday) on my own, and took photos and hiked/drove around at my leisure. I waited for sunset.. It was pretty but nothing fantastic. We needed more clouds. Something to really set the smog and dusty air on fire with the sun*L* I then went Wednesday with a local friend of mine. We’ve crossed paths in her Americans in Canada LiveJournal. Like me, she found herself a good Canadian boy to get married to, and is waiting for her immigration to finalize. She’ll be done soon, and we’re gonna have a party*L*. S & I hiked King’s Mountain, where I was horribly embarrassed by my lack of fitness*L* Got swarmed by hundreds if not thousands of ladybugs, saw a Turkey Vulture, and ooh’ed and aaah’ed over the scenery.

Our reward for finishing the hike, were some welfare but still so tasty “pringles” chips and a refreshing bottle of Irn-Bru drink. So.. Here are the photos, go have a peek and enjoy!

knowing i have to make some more round about entries, but yet.. i still do not feel like it. procrastination.. avoidance.. something… like bev said the other night.. i’d rather be at a different party.. meh.. so. well.. I shall be doing surveys.. to help avoid putting my feelings and thoughts out there*L*

days until Canadian Citizenship application.

fixing our ceilings from when Hurricane Frances came through. We were told on Sunday morning, they’d be here Tuesday afternoon/Weds morning. They had 3 other apartments to fix before ours, but they’d be here. Well YESTERDAY when I called, the guys showed up and had no idea what they were supposed to do, because the office didn’t get the apt list from the Super with the instructions. It was his day off. It’s now 1pm Friday, and still no sign of ceiling fixers. Our apartment is in shambles. The living room is completely shifted around and pulled apart so that they can get to the window wihtout destroying anything. The same for the den. K has been working with 1/4 of a desk the past 2.5 days.. well nearly 3 days, because he spent most of Wednesday tearing the desks down and moving things into the dining area. Everything that was in the window side of the bedroom, is now in the bathroom. K gets to work in iffy conditions, I cannot clean the place up because what’s the point? We just spoke to the Super’s wife in the office.. they’re supposed to be coming on Monday.
