Sunday’s Run & Waterfowl Day

I got up around 6am not so bright eyed and bushytailed. Had a shower and got myself ready.. had some coffee, a bit of breakfast.. and was ready to go. Kev dropped me off in the middle of Wellington practically*L* Just infront of the Chateau.. I walked up to Parliament Hill quite briskly to keep warm. The morning was pretty chilly! Crisp and clear though. The sunrise was absolutely beautiful! I checked in, dropped off my offline donation sheet, picked up my run kit. I then went and sat down to dig through it, couldn’t find any pins, so back to the registration booth for those. I finally was able to pin my number on, and my honour bib on the front. I cursed not having 4 pins for each paper, but oh well.. I figured out a way to keep them on without wrinkling and ripping.

I did lots of standing around trying not to become a katsicle, stretching bouncing in placewalking around the Hill. I tried vainly to leech heat from the Eternal Flame-lol- didn’t work so well. I saw our old bank manager at the CIBC tent. I put my mom’s name up on the Wall of Hope.Took some photos, cried some tears. Finally things started to pick up. I was there SO early. I was there at 730, nothing really started till 9am. They had some opening speeches, and statistic readings, and the runners got ready to head out.

Tree ~ Thursday Challenge

Tree in Data Centre Park

Let’s start with

the Metcalfe Fair. Plans were made, snapcam was bought, and off I went to meet Miss Sandi, Scott and the girls at the fair. We were all doing the no rain magic dance, and well.. the rain held off to right when we were ready to head home for the day. We would have had to have left anyways, as the sky opened up.. and the rain was pouring down. There were a few streaks of lightening. We went on all sorts of rides, Drewie got to ride on a few of the big people rides with us. I convinced Sandi to go TWICE on this horrible ride called the DropZone. It looks sort of like this.. but only one tower and of course it’s of less height. Sandi if you are reading this, that image IS the Power Tower at Cedar Point. -has a moment of panic in memory-

After the fair, I popped down the road to check on Flame. We were gonna take Drewie to visit him, but the baby was extra tired.. and we were all quite exhausted.. so Sandi sprung for pizza and off we went back to her house. Pizza was ate, we sat and chatted.. then it was time for me to come home, so I could have some more eats and get to bed, as 6am was fast approaching.

i really need to update

I know i’ve been slacking this week. It’s just been a strange one. Energy levels low, just not feeling very motivated to write. Plus I have photos galore to work on, and well, I have just one wee group done. After school today, I shall update.
