Flying High over the Georgian Bay.
that’s all there is.. because I got too pissed off at the dough. After letting it warm on the stovetop with the oven on, I set myself to the task of rolling the dough out and cutting them into circles. No wait, FIRST! I followed the directions, rolled them into balls and then pushed them flat with the bottom of a glass. HA that was a joke. So then I thought, “flour the counter and roll them with the pin, then cut them”.. I had to scrape the cookie off the counter, no joy on that route. I called my mom and was like “when you make these stupid things, how the HELL do you make them into cookies?“*L* So then she starts to tell me how to blanch the almonds, and I’m like “NONO I just need to know how to get them cookieshaped“*L* and she’s like “oh, I just flour the counter, roll the dough with the pin and then cut them with a glass*L* I’m all that shiz don’t work woman*L* Not on my ghetto counter. SO I end up cutting a small square of wax paper, roll the tiny bit of dough out cut the shape with the glass, peel the excess dough away and then flip the cookie off the paper into my hand like a hamburger. SO.. 9 cookies. We don’t need more than that anyways! -huffs-
being a domestic kitten makes me twitch and want to cry. today is just not a good day. i hate my washer, my cookie dough is totally screwed up, i forgot we have a bank meeting at noon, i have to now go rush and have a shower, i have a feeling that our landlord is totally dropping the ball in getting us paint and new carpet over the next 5 days because we’ve not heard a word from him..which makes me very irritable because we have to take the chance he IS going to come through and move everything out of the bedrooms so we can paint and then have carpet put in.. but i have this disgusting feeling that it is not going to happen and we’ve moved everything for nothing. i’m going back to michigan in 3 days, and i’ve realized that NEXT WEEKEND i’m having a yard sale there.. and i’m not even close to figuring out what i need to do.. i have no tables. I have to prepare for coming back at the end of July for importing Flame and the rest of my junk. This is seriously turning into one of those days where i just want to hide.
Scotty has Alzheimer’s. The article gave quite a bit of info, that neither K or I realized. INcluding that he was already ill with several afflictions from serving in the second World War in the Canadian army… AND that he has a 4 year old daughter!

I just spent the past 2 hours wishlisting training books on horses and the sort.. been tearing out articles from Horse Illustrated zines that were left over from last year on what was left of my subscription.. I scoured amazon.com/.ca for dvds or vhs tapes detailing some sort of training etc.. and nothing could be found.. I guess I need to look in the back of HI for some stuff as well.. maybe there will be a website for instructional videos in some format. I have a few.. but they’re more focused on hunter/jumper. I’m looking for something focused more on centered riding, overcoming problems, and all that horsewhispering type stuff*L* Being intune with the monster, using body language, ground work, manners, that sort of thing. Flame needs a LOT of that.. and well I need to learn some new tricks of the trade.
mostly. I did some tweaking and fussing with font sizes and the sort.. I tried to get blogamp back up and running, but it was being not good.. so I said “%$%$@&$&$%&@IT!”.. you people don’t need to know what I’m listening to anyways.. If it’s THAT good, I’ll just blog about it.
The past few days have been spent discussing housing. We’re looking.. and wow.. it hurts my head. It’s also quite depressing. The housing here is just so rediculously over priced. Houses that should cost $150-170K with the trimmings cost over $200K. Yes, it’s Canadian, but before you people fire your mouths off about currency conversion (I’m pretty friggin sick of that joke btw), TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS is still just that. We don’t live on US currency so go suck a nut and don’t even bother wasting your time on that line. The immigration site says the average housing cost is approximately $139, 000.. I seriously want to know what crack they’ve been smoking. You can’t even get a hovel in the country for that, much less anything near the city.
