Sun-Tues 7-25/27
Sunday I went for a walk with the dad and the dog at Kensington Park. It was a good walk, and a nice way to wrap up the trip. I miss being able to take the pooch for a walk whenever I want, plus it’s a good time for my dad and I to just chat and catch up.
Sunday afternoon I went to see Flame and got a ride in. I spent most of the time just working on transitions and having him pay attention. It’s most of the same work that he will be doing for the next month or so getting him back on track. After that I’ll be able to toss him into full training. Sunday evening I spent with Adam and Nici at the Alley, playing darts and music on the jukebox. It was a pretty fun evening, one of the best I had the entire trip. It’s an element I miss when I am not there. If only I could get that transporter button working*L* I could visit whenever I wanted.

Monday was cleaning up, packing and riding Flame day. I spent the evening over at Nici’s. We had a cookout late night, had a few beers, danced to Hank Williams, played with the puppy, sat on the porch till the wee hours with Phil talking about everything and singing to Creeper.
Tuesday was make sure everything was packed and loaded into the truck day. I worked Flame, groomed him from head to toe, gave him a thorough bath, combed his tail out and spent the evening with my mom having a bit of coffee and off to bed early so I could get up bright eyed and bushy tailed Wednesday morning to get Flame ready for his trip.
