my mom

bought me a pugdog for christmas.

chasing that magic

constantly searching,
constantly trying,
chasing down that magic…

looking for that feeling,
fishing for that scene,
crying for that magic…

hoping for that emotion,
cherishing that touch,
hoping for that magic.

ways to piss off your pets

1. If you have a cat and a DVD player located relatively close to the floor, open and close the disc holder when the cat is near.

2. laser pointer. My friend’s dog went so psycho over it, she couldn’t let him see it. If it was just sitting on a table or something, he’d just sit and stare at until someone picked it up.

3. I just like to get them unawares (cats). When they’re walking by me, not paying me a bit of attention, I’ll move my foot or make a loud noise, and they’ll jump a few feet in the air.

4. I’ve played cat meows for them before, from a wav file, and I had a pile of cats all over the computer trying to figure out where the new cats were.

5. The laser IS the best, though. Those things drive them nuts, and if you have a keychain on yours, they’ll learn the sound in no time. Anytime you wonder where they are, just jingle the laser and they’ll come running. It’s always funny to watch one chase a laser around in circles until they get dizzy and fall down. Or put it on the ceiling where they can’t reach it and just watch them walk back and forth, meowing.

5. Pick them up and walk towards the tub or toilet and they’ll usually start squirming and scratching to get away. (this one can get painful and bloody)

6. Move the mouse around so they’ll claw the monitor and bite the screen.

7. Hang a string from a ceiling fan or somewhere high, and make sure they see it. They can’t get to it, and it’ll drive them nuts. I once turned my fan on low and watched my cat walk around in circles following the string.

8. tape on their foot! They’ll walk around shaking the hell out of it. It’s especially funny if you put it on all four
