Dreaming.In.Reality

so, giant box from Sears arrived today.. i am assuming it is from my parents.. lots more christmas cards.. which, every year.. anyone who does the card thing KNOWS that someone gets forgotten.. and you don’t know who.. till that person sends YOU a card -scrambles for a last minute has to be late card-.. ah well.. beter late than never..

so, have to go pick up a western union thingie.. go to the butcher before he fecks off till after the new year.. my back is in pain something fierce.. it feels almost like a gallbladder attack.. but i don’t have one of those anymore.. so i know it’s not that.. if i knew it wouldn’t make me sleepy, i’d take a muscle relaxant. also need to go to walmart for some storagey bin things so i can pack up the VHS tapes that are being stowed away, as well as k’s 3d model magazines. then i can finish sorting and clenain gthe living room, vacuum behind/under the couch and prepare for the tree!

1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays?
I enjoy the snow, and SOME of the cold.. but if there was a way to have it 50-60 degrees with snow on the ground, frozen water to ice skate on and all of that.. I would be happier*L* I wasn’t kind to my body growing up, the cold hurts.

2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect?
My ideal Holiday celebration would be spending the evening at home with family and a few close friends.. festive music, good lighting, excellent food and drink.. some presents.. lots of laughter. I do miss my family’s insane Christmas Day get togethers. Dogs chasing kids, kids chasing dogs, parents chasing dogs and kids.. while 10 person army in the kitchen is trying to cook and not trip over said dogs, kids and other parents.. Sitting down to dinner and realizing that John has no where to sit, so he has to sit at the “kid table”.. which then he spends most of that time, winding the kids up and getting them beyond the spasticly spastic point.

3. Do you do have any holiday traditions?
Not anymore really.

4. Do you do anything to help the needy?
Not as much as I should. There have been some winter clothes drives up here, but all the stuff that doesn’t fit or i don’t use anymore.. is still at my parents.. and for them to donate it… well i don’t really recall what is there.. and i don’t trust them to decide*L*

5. What one gift would you like for yourself?
No idea really. I haven’t given much thought to gifting this year past what I felt my friends would like.. and now that it is taken care of.. I’m much more interested in cleaning house.

well.. i haven’t done the monday-friday with no post inbetween thing in a LONG time. There is actually quite a bit i have been wanting to write.. but not quite sure how to get it down, how to express it.. same issues as usual.

I got the friday 5 to do, photo friday.. and tuesday.. tuesday was hobbies or games.. i should just put up the 26things chess photo and be done with it*L* today’s theme is “childhood”. now i know there is always some overlapping between thursday and friday in the themes.. but eh.. i feel as if i have already done this… so sometime today that will get done.. thursday’s is up.
