i was pondering a lot of the use of this site. the other day Trisha was interviewed by this fellow from the NYtimes.. it was pretty exciting, we passed my info to him.. I haven’t heard anything yet, oh well.. but then i started thinking of why i started blogging, and what have my entries consisted of for the past 6 months. and i realized.. i am really not happy with them. i guess this can go with my artistic dissatisfaction i posted about my photography site etc.. but really.. i look at my blog here, and i ask myself.. what have my entries been about? usually nothing. just a daily routine of memes, some photos, maybe the occasional outburst or update post about my photo site/fotolog.. and that’s it.
when talking with K last night about blogs and the such.. and how when i started he had concerns about what i was going to write etc.. and the protection of our privacy, i stated that i carried the thought of, if i don’t talk about it in a group of friends, then it doesn’t go on the blog. daily trivial things about our relationship or activities is fine.. but anything other than that.. if i truely have a problem to work through or whatever.. i talk to him about it.. and it never gets to the point to put it into words. that’s the grand part of our relationship. but then i think about things that i’d LOVE to write about.. not necessarily about K and I.. but just in general. life, other friends, things that i see.. and i usually don’t. or they are so, heavily edited.. i annoy myself with the post because i left out what i truely wanted to say.. or i made it so sugarcoated G rating that the point/emotion behind the post is lost.
1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not? I do.. But my organizational skillz and methods are not readily understood by others…
2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly? I have a notebook.. i scribble in that.
3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now? Moderately.. it’s got some books and papers on it.. but it’s nothing that can’t be sorted out in less than 3 minutes.
4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter? no.. i used to.. and i used to crazy freak out if someone messed them up. i’ve overcome my OCD enough to not be so freakjob about things being “out of order”. i tend to just keep them by author/series or artist now.
5. What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to organize? my mp3s/art photographs folders.
So I made good on the digging through old photos thing. I like this photo a lot.. I had forgotten about the pictures done in Union Station in Toronto.. I did a lot of these looking up at weird angles photos last summer when traveling either to or from Ottawa.. I can’t remember now which it was :)

Looking Up in Union Station, Toronto, Ontario. Taken with the Canon D30 @ISO100. Black and white filter applied.
a photo for Theme Thursday.
I didn’t get the email for the theme until today.. which was somewhat annoying. But I will see what i can come up with. I’ll probably just dig through existing photos.. and see what I have.. Check back soon for the post.
Three for Thursday ~ Being Sick
1. What do you consider the worst short term ailment in order of magnitude of pain:
a. Migrane
b. Sore Throat
c. Upset tummy (with any accompanying discomfort)
d. Other (specify)
2. When you’re sick, what treatment/medication do you take and for what?
a. Aspirin/Tylenol
b. Other Over-the-Counter remedy
c. Prescription Drug(s)
d. Home concoction (what exactly is it?)
3. When you’re sick, you:
a. Immediately call the doctor
b. Take one of the remedies in 2(a) - 2(d) above
c. Do nothing and let it run its course
d. Let your spouse/significant other listen/sympathize to your moaning and try to take care of you as best they can
1. What if you had to choose whether to live without your journal/blog for a month, or go without food for five days? Without my journal for a month. I don’t keep track of anything monumentious anyways.. Perhaps if I wasn’t connected at the hip to my computer, I’d have better activities.
2. What if you had to choose whether to live without human contact for a year, or spend five months in jail? I’d rather spend 5 months in jail. No human contact would make me twitch and drool.
3. What if you had to choose whether to become permanently illiterate, or be doomed to live a life completely devoid of love? I’d be the dumbest bitch on the block.. Full helpin of lurve please:)
4. What if you had to choose whether to be banished from home and never see your loved ones again, or be imprisoned five days per week (Monday through Friday) for the rest of your life? I’d do the 5 days a week thing.. would certainly make sex on the weekends interesting :)
5. What if you had to choose whether to become blind or deaf? Blind. I could not live without sound.
Tuesday Too ~ Mother’s Day Edition
1. Will you be a last minute shopper or have you already bought your Mother’s gift?I haven’t bought it yet.. I know what I’m getting her though and what I’m doing with her for the occasion. I won’t be with her on Mother’s Day technically.. She has to wait an extra week.. But it shall be fun. I do need to get a card to send out to my grandmother.. late but eh.. that’s international mail for you.
2. Finish this sentence, I love my mother because… she is the strongest woman I know and she is the most caring. My mother is my best friend and I’d not have it any other way.
