What’s your first memory of daylight savings? What other stories do you have that may be related, if you don’t have any specific to daylight savings? Please share.
Well, I can’t think of the first memory of daylight savings. but I DO have one that sticks out in my head.. Jello should remember this quite well too*L*
I think, we were 17/16 years old, Jello being the older.. and we were visiting a friend of ours the night before you switched the clocks.. And we had been out pretty late, and we were just lounging around listening to music, and we all just fell asleep.. Needless to say, we didn’t show up at her parents house till about 6am(daylightsavingstime).. as we were pulling into her sub, thinking we’re about to die.. i was like it’s only 5am! daylight savings!*L* yeah that info didn’t go very well.. her parents were waiting for us in the garage.. never in my life, has someone else’s dad scared the pants off me*L* he had that DAD look.. you know the one.. where he just looks at you, your heart stops your knees go weak, and you just want to bolt for the nearest exit before he just freaks out.. yeah.. all he said to us was you girls go upstairs to bed.. we proceeded with before mention bolting..
we were dead tired of course when we woke like 3 hours later to the what seemed the over done hustle and bustle of breakfast.. every ding of Mr.Scott’s spoon in the coffee mug, reverberating in the head..
i can never remember if Jello had a key to the front door, but to this day i wonder if we had just parked outside the house, gone in the front door and acted like we were watching late night movies if we’d have gotten away with it*L*
