Thursday Threesome
Onesome: Holiday Sweets–What is your favorite holiday sweet? You know, the one you only really can get your hands on once a year? Like my Thanksgiving answer, there really isn’t anything I can’t get my hand on year round.. Sometimes you just have to look harder yanno? But I guess one treat, that I DO enjoy around the holiday time, are those bizzare little chewy eggnog flavoured nougat thingies. Sometimes you see them peppermint flavour with christmas trees on them? Those things too. My grandfather used to ALWAYS have a stash of those to share with the grandkids.. while he played the Jingle Bell Dogs 45rpm record in his back den to torment my grandmother and our parents :)
Twosome: Recipe– …and can you get the recipe for it? …or is this one of those closely guarded family secrets handed down mother to daughter. …and hey? What about us guys? How are we ever supposed to figure out how to do this stuff? …or should we even try? well, i suppose you could have the recipe *L* seeings that mine isn’t one you make.. I can share a recipe of something USUALLY made at the holidays that my mom does. Beforwarned.. it’s not a recipe for those minding what they eat*L*
Threesome: Exchange– But if you do have that recipe and you can bear to share, why not stop over at the exchange and drop it off? Barring that: do you routinely exchange sweets at holiday time? Yeah? What kinds? I shall round up the recipe later today… and not here now that I’ve moved. But when I lived at home, and my mom still does this even with out me. We’d bake tons of cookies, make chocolates etc.. to give out to various friends for the holiday season. My favourites of that being the eggnog cookies and the choccy covered pretzels.. I do miss that. I won’t be going home this year due to immigration, so i can’t bring a stash back here with me. -sulks-
