Rural ~ PhotoTime Tuesday

A field about 10 minutes out of the city. I grew up in a fairly rural town. I now live in a pretty big city. When I was out taking these photos, I just was able to stand, breathe and feel at home. I felt like I should be carrying a bucket of oats, and tromping THROUGH this field to go catch a naughty horse that just doesn’t want to come in yet. Moving further down the road to get a different angle, the view from the other side of a tree, revealed something that saddened me.

I’m 100% in agreement with you! Our home was ‘out in the country where nobody lives’ to coin a phrase we read about our town. Since then… subdivisions everywhere… people who wanted to live out in the country just transplanted their former environment to more expensive houses… overcrowding that which they so admired.
