site revamping
i’m slimming and trimming things down.. with whatever new layout i decide on. i’ve already cleaned out my blogroll, of sites that are either; no longer there, not updated, or i just simply don’t visit anymore. to those who may have been removed, nothing personal really.
i’ve also removed a few banners, cleaned up some line breaks… i’m removing some of the links in the site section. i’m debating on keeping the photographs page as it is.. it’s really image heavy, a lot to fix and update, and really the layout of the images bothers me.. i guess it is because it is THE original setup since this blog started, and i like change, i like things different now and then.. but it works, so i’ve never changed it other than the bulk of the design. another thing i’m pondering dumping is my writing page, or perhaps combining it with my ultra stale about me page. i rarely write ANYTHING these days.. the last poem i wrote was while i was at home.. and it was just as i was falling asleep.. composed in the head.. too damn tired and lazy to get out of bed for the notebook. it was a rather good one too.. defining some serious thoughts i had about some relationships and events in my life…. so maybe getting rid of it, or putting it with the other page will be of use.
i’m dumping the add your link page as well. most of the websites i visit on a regular basis are blogs..they’re on my blogroll, and what sites are not a blog.. well that’s my personal playground.. i’d rather some of you not know where i’m at. i’m also considering chucking the guestbook as well.. or perhaps finding a “write your own guestbook” thing for php based sites, because i hate bravenet and their ads.
i’m still debating on what and who gets the use of the private entries.. i suppose part of it is, i don’t want anyone to think they are not being included or that they are being written about.. but part of me also wants to be able to share things that i am feeling with a select few. which then brings in the arguement of, why write it on your blog if you don’t want people to read it or if the people who are reading it.. you talk to on a daily basis via various messenger programs. i guess it’s simple as this.. i don’t keep a journal persay, this is the closest that comes to that.. and i just find writing things up on the computer so much more easy for myself. who knows.. maybe i’ll just write them and not let anyone in-lol- i’m still thinking this over…
