Dreaming.In.Reality

it ended up being a LOT better than I thought it would be.. the stupid speech crap Todd Eldridge did in the middle was still stupid.. he could have cut that out and just left it with the prancing…i was really excited to see Jamie and David skate.. both of their routines were amazing….. but over all it was nice.. we stopped at my neighbour’s house before going out.. visited with them for a while, had a cup of coffee.. gave her grandson his christmas present, she gave me my christmas present*L* we jaunted off to the palace…i had nachos for dinner.. i’ve had way too many nachos for dinner! i can’t believe i just admitted that.. but it’s true…

last night i went and visited my friend stephanie.. i hadn’t seen her since before i moved to ottawa… probably like late january of 2001 sometime was the last i had seen her.. we still talked and everything.. but i drove out to her “new” house that she’s had for nearly 2 years*L* and spent the evening being complete idiots.

I honestly cannot remember the last time i laughed as hard as i did last night.. or as long.. we started out our eve looking through my wedding photos.. i left the good album here at the parents though :( i completely forgot it sittign on the counter.. but she got to see most of the pictures etc… next month she can see the good one.. and we then journeyed out to blockbuster for a movie after proving once again that she is no good with electronics and figuring out how to make the VCR go.. they didn’t have sweet home alabama.. but they did have the banger sisters.. cute movie.. not great.. but interesting.. we stopped at tim horton’s because i needed coffee*L* finally! good coffee on this trip.. and we got pizza.. and watched the movie.. then sat in the living room with her kitties boochie and charlie, just howling with laughter about married life, and things we did in university… life in general.. silly things that our hubbies do…. we grumbled about our president…. and fussed over her doors being locked.. cuz we were home alone*L* they always say laughter is the best medicine.. and i really felt great when i left her house late in the night.. i wanted to stay.. we were perfectly set to sit up all night like teenage girls up to no good*L*i really really missed that…. we used to do that in uni.. sit up all night, get late night pizza, roam meijer’s for entertainment at 3am.. then sit around some more till we finally just passed out on the carpet in her dormroom.. we’d get up, go about our day and do it all over again the next night.. i hope she can come visit this summer.. and then maybe we can subject kevin to the terror we did brian last night*L* and the boys can run away and hide somewhere*L*

tomorrow entails barn duty with vanessa and flame.. then going to karen’s to visit for a bit and do some photography.. then off to the neighbour’s again to visit some more with them.. i didn’t get to see lisa… or my friend phil this time around.. it always seems like i have all this time when i’m here.. and then suddenly there is no time at all.. and i feel guilty.. i feel i haven’t seen my mom and dad enough this trip…. even though they’re here inthe house driving me nuts most of the time.. i also saw 0 relatives.. no aunt debbie and uncle slim, no aunti shirley and uncle larry… i haven’t seen them all in a year.. my cousins are all growing up, and i’m missing it… but i’m coming home again next month… so i’m gonna start scheduling early.. so i can make sure i see EVERYONE…. but of course.. the most carefully layed plans always get screwed up.. especially when i make them.. so we shall see i suppose…..
