holy 20 minutes of ads
$27 for tickets,15 minutes and $15 to get popcorn and drinks, 2 hours and 50 minutes to watch movie, not long enough, too long to sit and not have to pee, not enough coverered, too much changed to suit hollywood, too many starbursts and 7up…
all in all.. it was fantastic to watch… i could watch just film of the scenery for hours….

I think it’s eight bucks here… but Monday’s movies are half-price. And if you wait about a month or two, the same movie is a buck at the brewpubs. Ahhhh… the brewpubs. Nothing like watching a movie at a theatre (notice the spelling for you Canucks out there) where you sit on real furniture and have tables to rest your pitcher o’ brew on while waiting for your server to bring you a pizza. Mmmmmmmmmmmm…

Theatres are where you go to watch plays. Cinemas are for movies.

January 3rd, 2003 at 6:25 pm
so what if i call them movie theatres?
January 3rd, 2003 at 7:00 pm
Movie Theatre is fine, it’s just “theatre” on its own suggests live performance. I made the suggestion, tongue-in-cheek, for Rob who spelt it “theatre” for “us canucks”. :) No offense intended here peeps.

that’s not Rob, that’s Jay*L*
January 3rd, 2003 at 7:14 pm
I meant Jay. Honest.

Rob would have spelled it theater.

ok… In Australia…. it’s usually $10 + for movies…. if you get to the gold.. it’s more like $20…. but you get alcohol, lounge chairs, personal theatre/cinema. And I haven’t seen LOTR yet… must go and see that

Well, theatre may have been the best word after all — ’cause there’s so much drama in this ‘comments’ thread. Ha, ha.

DAMNIT! This is TWICE this year someone has confused me with Rob or someone else. And it’s only the third day into the year!
I’m starting to get a complex, people.
