Dreaming.In.Reality

So, Saturday I broke down and bought the Mage Winds Trilogy in paperback.. I had said.. I wasn’t going to get this set in pb.. because I already own it in hardbound.. The only problem with that is, that the Mage Winds Trilogy, and the series after that, The Storm Winds Trilogy.. are all at my parents house packed away.. and after purchasings, replacing and rereading all of Mercedes Lackey’s books.. I just couldn’t sit tight and wait to move on to read the next parts*L* All of the books are tied to the same novel “history”.. so I’ve been rereading to piece all the pieces together.. now that I have “all” of them.. By the time I am ready to read Storm Winds.. I’ll have been to the parents and retrieved them and any other books I want to read*L*

These horsies are coming to Ottawa this weekend.. I’d love to see them.. but such short term awareness that they would be here, I think cancels that happening. I checked on ticketbastard.. and for Saturday I pulled amazing floor seats.. first row.. right on the edge of the ring, but those aren’t coming up again cept for single tickets.. sunday’s’ ticket pull wasn’t so good..ah well.. it’s interesting how 2 days of waiting can change a ticket pull.. oh well. Maybe next year..

Tuesday Too

1.) When was the last time you really had fun? What were you doing? Are you someone who can have fun alone? The last time I really had fun. A week or so ago.. Hubby and I spent all night chatting in bed. Was like a slumber party.. were you sit up all night, giggling and talking.. cept.. no parents warning you to be quiet or you’ll be seperated*L* And yes, I’m the type of person who can have fun alone.. but it all depends on the activity I set out to do.. My favourite fun alone activities are going out and taking pictures.. going for walks in the woods.. and riding my horse.

2.) Are you going to vote today, and do you know the major differences between the candidates? Does the balance in the senate and the house figure into your choice? If I was currently in the States.. I would have voted.. But I’m not.. so I couldn’t.. which is just as well.. because I’m clueless to the local government of my state and city at the moment..

3.) Is there something extraordinary going on that you’ve failed to notice? Um.. *L* I haven’t noticed yet. In all truths though..it’s extraordinary to me.. but I’m noticing I’m losing weight.. and shaping up slowly… For the first time in my life.. I felt thin on Saturday.. I felt almost close(although I’m not physcially there yet) to what I perceived my body type when I was in University.. and I liked how I looked then.

I realized something.. as I went outside these eve to get a bit of fresh air.. I really miss the “solitary” feeling of the first snow. At my parents house, even though the area around them is building up, and you can still hear road noises.. When you take that first step off the backstep, down into the backyard.. inhaling the crisp cold air… the stillness and quiet.. surrounds you.. as a few small snowflakes still fall from the sky.. you just feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere.. Not so much here.. building noises, 2 main roads closeby noises, parking garage noises, people entering the building.. there was just not enough silence.. to get that moment of feeling at peace and being alone……

Again.. I’ve had a friend.. pull the expectance of “i hate this person, so you should too” on me. I am tired of this, I am my own person, I choose who I am friendly to, who I am not friendly to, who I choose to have as friends, and who I choose to not have as friends. I would not expect any of my friends to hate someone, or be cruel to them.. just on the basis of my own feelings towards that person. Foolishly though, I think my friends would be the same, and not expect me to hate or be cruel to someone they had ill feelings towards. Obviously today I was wrong. I AM expected to hate someone, who though has made choices and performed actions I don’t approve of or like, I have no personal basis to hate/be cruel to them. I AM expected to ignore them, be cruel when necessary.. that is not an expectation one can consider in a friendship. I’m sorry, but I will not do that. If you have problems with that, then so be it…I will not change who I am, to be a more negative person.. I have enough of that in me already, and I’ve had enough of it around me.

So… I woke up today to Sport & K whistling like crazy at each other:) I love it when they do that.. and then I happened to stumble out.. into the kitchen to get a drink.. and I noticed the weather.

–It was light.. but blowing around pretty good

–Watching it swirl on the pavement is fun

–Starting to accumulate

–Covering the cars on the garage quite well

–The duckies are getting snowed on!

–Really starting to stick to the ground
