Ok.. let’s talk about some leg waxing… I’ve had my legs waxed several times now.. and I’ve never had really any problems with it except the first time being a bit sensitive and looking like a plucked chicken. It has never really hurt to the point where I wanted to cry. So this time around, to save some time and money.. before going on my trip this week, I decided that I could really just do this myself.. so I went out and picked up a kit, and read all the directions and made sure exactly how this no heat gel was to work better and less painful that heated wax. So I started waxing my lower left leg.. and the stuff was about a million times stickier than normal wax, it didn’t “warm” properly on my skin, and as I went along with it, I started noticing bruising on my legs.. The gel pulling on my skin has actually broken blood vessels! Needless to say, I am LESS than freaking happy.. For the most part the bruising doesn’t hurt cept the one is really nasty.. and if my skin doesn’t heal properly, let me just tell you.. SOMEONE over at Sally Fucking Hansen is going to have their asses kicked. So let me just say that THIS IS EVIL.. the use of that product produced this nasty bruise.

friday 5

1. What is your current occupation? Is this what you chose to be doing at this point in your life? Why or why not? I’m currently unemployed, because of immigration laws. I am not a landed immigrant of Canada yet, therefore I am not legal to work. It’s not what I want to be doing, I’d much rather be working, and helping get money saved for buying a house, and help support the household that my husband and I share.

2. If time/talent/money were no object, what would your dream occupation be? I would be a photographer I believe.. to have my dream camera, and equipment to print my own photography.. Travel to exotic places and experience the world through the lens, work for a high end magazine, shoot models.. If it wasn’t a photographer.. I think, that I’d love to have my own stable, and breed/train horses. Probably Holsteiner sport horses..beautiful warmbloods with a bit of colour:) Like Appaloosa spots, or Paint horse patches:)

3. What did/do your parents do for a living? Has this had any influence on your career choices? My dad works for Ford Motor Company.. my mom had her stints in retail etc.. when she was younger.. she’s been a housewife and mother. It has influenced me a bit. I know that both a busy career and being a housewife has it’s stress points and benefits. Do I want both? Possibly..

4. Have you ever had to choose between having a career and having a family? Not yet.. in the sense of giving up a career for having a baby.. But I have made the choice of not working, to be able to live with and marry my husband. So in a way, yes I have.

5. In your opinion, what is the easiest job in the world? What is the hardest? Why? The easiest job or hardest job in the world? There is no such thing… Every job has it’s ups and downs, it’s easy moments and it’s hardest moments.. it’s all what you make of it. If your job is hard or diffulcult, you need to explore options that would make things go easier for you. If you find it too easy, you need to introduce things to your career that challenge you and make your job interesting. It’s a point of view I place on life in general.

Leads are dwindling.. sadly.. it seems that Jennifer.. gone a week.. isn’t going to turn up…. and if she does, I already fear the worse. It’s a sick sick shame what people do to innocent children just to “further” themselves in life..

So.. I’m doomed.. Between a dental appointment on September 11, and my gallbladder surgery.. which is scheduled.. -foreboding music inserted here- for September 13th! For those of you calender challenged folks.. yes, that IS a Friday..

So here’s what’s going to happen.. because I just love sharing with you.. that, and my day is going so miserabley slow and boring like.. all I have to share, are the horrors of what they are doing to me….

laparascopic cholecystectomy

laparascopic cholecystectomy is an operation involving removal of the gallbladder through two, half in in size incisions.. one in the umbilicus(belly button) and the other about three inches above the first. Two or three other small (quarter inch) incisions are also made under the rib cage. These incisions are used to introduce instuments into the abdomen to preform the operation.

Several specialized instruments are used for this operation. Carbon dioxide is instilled into the abdomen to distend ti so that a Laparoscope(telescope like instrument) with a camera attached can be inserted to visualize the gallballder and other internal organs. The image is prjected onto a video monitor and the surgeon does the operation by watching the television monitor. The gall bladder is dissected and cut away from its attachements to the liver and bile ducts using electrocautery instruments. Electrocautery insturments generate heat from an eletric current which your surgeon uses for cutting and coagulation(controlling bleeding). A clip applier has been specially designed for this operation. The clips are the same that are used during an open or conventional operation to remove the gall bladder. Four of more small metal(titanium) clips which are used instead of sutures are left inside the abdomen during and after the operations. These clips close off the opening of the gall bladder duct into the bile duct and sseal off small blood vessels going into the gallbladder. These clips do not dissolve but will not cause any future problems(ie.. i will not set off metal detectors).
