1. Where were you born? Detroit, Michigan at St. John’s.
2. If you still live there, where would you rather move to? If you don’t live there, do you want to move back? Why or why not? I grew up in a city just north of Detroit, I lived there till i was 7 and then moved about an hour west. I don’t think I’d want to move back there..the way that the people and area have developed disgust me.. In the new city we moved to, it was a small small town.. I grew up there. Life was quiet there, I had a lot of the city life and the country life in one.. Which is why that city has such appeal now to the city folk, because they’re all moving there.. and I hate it now. The people are rude, the education system is starting to crumble, they are building box stores and strip malls on every inch of commercial land, even though the other 5748952073420593 strip malls sit half or more empty.. they cheaply build $600,000 homes that no one can afford, and most of my generation has moved away from it to the smaller less populated areas because it’s cheaper. A year and a bit ago, I moved to Ottawa. And yes I know, it’s a big city.. It’s the capitol of Canada for crying out loud.. But it was big.. when I got here. I’m not watching my high school friend’s farm that has been in the family 150 years be sublotted for apartment homes, I’m not watching our precious grazing land and forests being mowed and torn up to be a new Home Depot, Walmart, Meijer, Lowe’s or some other large chain store. I wouldn’t mind living in Michigan again.. But I don’t think I would want to live in either area I had already lived in.. It’s too depressing.
3. Where in the world do you feel the safest? Where do I feel the safest? Curled up in my bed, with my hubby.
4. Do you feel you are well-traveled? Not really.. There is still so much of the world I would like to see.. I want to tour all of Canada, and the USA as well. I envy my friend Karen.. I can’t even remember if both of us, or just me were still in high school.. but one summer her parents and the kids toured across the States and then back home.. plus being from the UK, she’s has holidays over seas.. I’d love to see Great Britain some day, and Europe.. Mainly the Netherlands, France and Greece. But I wouldn’t be happy unless I saw most of Europe.. I’d also like to see an Asian country and Australia.. And there is that every desireable cruise in the Caribbean*L*
5. Where is the most interesting place you’ve been? The most interesting place? So far.. would have to be Quebec City.. I can’t wait till I can go back there and explore. We went there for our honeymoon.. the city is amazing.. it looks so much like an old European town.. narrow streets, compact buildings.. I felt like was WAS in another country and time while walking the streets there.. That and it just has such an amazing history. I love historical stuff.
