On my way up north
Up on the Ventura
I put back the hood
And I was talkin to you
And I knew that it would be a lifelong thing
But I didn’t know that we, we could break a silver lining…
And I am so set/sad (?)
Like a good book I can’t put this (?) back
A sorta fairytale with you (A sorta fairytale with you)
A sorta fairytale with you
mmhmmm.. a taste of Tori Amos’ new single “A Sorta Fairytale”. I like it, but it’s very Top40 radio friendly.. the piano is just kinda in the background as keyboard support.. It will grow on me..
From cdnow.com
This news item about Scarlet’s Walk states that the album is “America-themed” and deals with such subjects as Native American history, pornography, Oliver Stone, and Andrew Jackson. The news items then says, ” Scarlet ‘may be the land and may be a person and may be a trail of blood’ and is the personification of everyone’s search for answers… The album’s musical and lyrical journey was inspired by the tragic events of Sept. 11 — the album was written entirely after the attacks on America while Amos was on the road.” The first single, “A Sorta Fairytale,” will be released to radio on August 27, 2002.
it is said that kurt markus did the photography for SW as well, which I found really interesting, and was pleased to find a link about his work with Ian Tyson(another musician I love). Another link for Kurt.. showing a more diverse selection of the different black and white photography he has done.(kurt markus links found on thedent.com)
