This is a bit of a dorky post.. but anyone who uses Hotmail will appreciate this.. I just got an email from my uncle about a link he found on msnbc.. and I went and checked to see if the subject of the article applied to my hotmail accounts.. and it did…
Hotmail users data can be shared
A clip from the article:
MSN Hotmail users may be surprised to learn that Microsoft Corp. currently has permission to share their e-mail address, birthday, zip code, and occupation with virtually any of its business partners.–Which is probably why a LOT of people have noticed an increase in shitmail coming from 15 names from the same server–Hotmail users exploring their e-mail setting have discovered two new options, both now checked yes by default for most: Share My e-mail address and Share My other registration information. Microsoft says Hotmail customers had agreed to share such information when they accepted the companys privacy policy, and the check boxes are actually a privacy enhancement that offers new options to limit the sharing of the data.–Yes we may agree to your shitty TOS.. but the TOS also states that modifications to service and/or TOS shall be informed to users
Anyways.. Cheers! Uncle L for sending that my way.. -goes off to uncheck her email boxes-
